Dr Bob Jang

Dr Bob Jang is a highly regarded Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with highly specialised expertise in surgery of the shoulder and elbow as well as complex trauma and fracture management.

Known for his excellent surgical outcomes and clear, empathetic communication style, Dr Jang takes the time to ensure every patient fully understands their condition, treatment options and expected recovery. His calm and approachable manner consistently puts patients at ease, even when managing the most complex of injuries.

Dr Jang maintains an active academic and research based practice. He is well published in international peer-reviewed journals, regularly presents at national and international conferences, and is a valued member of a dedicated shoulder research collaborative. As a passionate educator, he supervises and mentors local and international advanced orthopaedic fellows and trainees, helping shape the next generation of surgeons.

Dr Jang has completed shoulder and upper limb fellowships to further expand his skillset and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care and outcomes. He is committed to delivering individualised, evidence-based care using the latest proven surgical techniques from arthroscopic and joint-preserving procedures to complex revision and reconstructive surgery.

Dr Jang is a Clinical Lecturer with the Sydney University Concord Clinical School and gives regular tutorials, lectures to future doctors and is also an examiner for the Clinical School. 

Dr Jang performs surgery at Kareena Private Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
